Doug raves about the adjustable fan speed in auto mode for the climate control. Every vehicle I’ve ever been in with auto climate control allowed you to still adjust the fan speed without exiting auto. And I’ve been in more vehicles with this than it’s worth listing out. I think Doug stumbled across this in the k5, and just never had in any other car and never thought to try it out.

I feel so sad for them cause they really impress with their warranty and price/quality relation, they make extremely good cars but their name ruins EVERYTHING. Why dont they change it? Its so ugly

The Kia K5 could have been made into a way more agile and better perfoming car by: 1. Giving it a proper Frt Longitudinal RWD Setup 2. Giving it a proper Sedan side profile... 3. Delete the totally unnecessary and extremely heavy Sunroof - Minus 20 - 30 kg The Kia Stinger could have been made way more agile and way faster by putting it on a diet by deleting all the unneccessary components below: 1. Delete the stupidly heavy Tailgate and replace it with a proper Bootlid and make it a proper Sports Sedan - Minus 10 - 15 Kg 2. Delete the totally unnecessary and extremely heavy Sunroof and replace it with a Carbon Fibre Roof - Minus 20 - 30 Kg 3. Delete the ugly Rear Quarter panel Reflectors - Minus Ugliness 4. Redesign the Headlights by making it it a little more elegant by removing the unneccessary downward, outer kink... - Minus Ugliness 5. Change the Steering wheel design a little - Minus blandness 6. Add Wood trim to the Interior design - Minus blandness

The auto shut off after 30 min is a for safety. Ford and GM did it to stop carbon monoxide deaths. And to also cut cars off if drivers forgot their key fobs in the car.

I've always thought his ratings are off., I know it's subjective but, I've watched him for years and he always give low numbers.. Btw., Kia didnt just switched to Numbers., it is called that in Korea for years., also the Forte is known as K3 & other K9 & so forth, they had only branded it "Optima" for the North American market.

When they said lower manufacturing costs, hyundai/kia took it to a new level of cheap, and they are selling it as premium,i had a 2021 sonata platinum for 2 hours and for 35k? The only real leather was the seats, everything else is plastic, for that price get a Palisade or a Telluride.

Why K5 why not K-9? It is a great looking car both exterior and interior. I think the inverted upper grill on the GT version of the K5 might be a little better looking. All you car guys kill me, 180 H.P. is more than enough for most people.

Kia designs will never do absolutely anything for me and I’m not a badge snob, just to unsubstantial for me, this car design wise is okay but I’m over Kia brand entirely for how trashy their interiors are compared to almost any other brand on the market right now, in my opinion Kia’s are not worth investing in and they might be “reliable” but are they truly worth the money for how boring they will always be??
